HERES THE METHOD OF PREPARATION....

PLAIN DOUGH PREPARATION FOR KUDUMULU:

INGREDIENTS:
Plain RiceFlour (or) Sirotti Rava ( Peni rava/ Oliga Rava )

PREPARATION :

USING SIROTTI RAVA:
  • Boil 1 & 1/2 glass of water in a bowl
  • Add pinch of salt, 1 table spoon of oil while boiling
  • Now add 1 glass of sirotti rava slowly and mix like an fine dough without any lumps in low flame
  • Off flame, take out the dough mix from the bowl
  • Place the dough on an oily cover , and mix well softly using our hands
  • Now the dough is ready to use
USING PLAIN RICE FLOUR:
  • Boil 1&1/2 glass of water in a bowl
  • Add pinch of salt, 1 table spoon of oil while boiling
  • Now add 1 glass of plain rice flour into bowl and leave it without mixing for 15-20 minutes
  • Off flame, take out the bowl
  • Apply oil for an wodden stick, and mix wellthe dough without any lumps
  • Place the dough on an oily cover , and mix well softly using our hands
  • Now the dough is ready to use
ONCE THE DOUGH IS READY , NOW LETS START PREPARING KUDUMULU, THERE ARE 3 TYPES OF KUDUMULU DONE FOR THIS FESTIVAL


COCONUT KUDUMULU:


INGREDIENTS: Fresh coconut, Jaggery (bellam), Ghee/Dalda, Kudumula dough
PREPARATION:

    In mixy jar, grind 1 cup fresh coconut pieces & then add1/2 cup jaggery, grind well both as an fine paste
  • Take frying pan, add 3-4spoons of ghee/dalda
  • Now add grinded paste and fry for 5-6 minutes
  • Now take the dough make small puris using the dough and stuff the fried mix into it and fold to half and press gently the edges of it
  • Make such as 5 and keep aside
NUVVULA KUDUMULU:


INGREDIENTS: White Nuvvulu (sesame seeds), Jagger (bellam), Ghee/Dalda
PREPARATION:
  • In mixy jar, grind 1 cup fried white sesame seeds & then add1/2 cup jaggery
  • Grind well both as an fine paste
  • Take frying pan, add 3-4spoons of ghee/dalda
  • Now add grinded paste and fry for 5-6 minutes
  • Now take the dough make small puris using the dough and stuff the fried mix into it and fold to half and press gently the edges of it
  • Make such as 5 and keep aside
GASAGASALA KUDUMULU:
INGREDIENTS: Gasagasalu (poppy seeds), Jaggery(bellam), Ghee/Dalda

PREPARATION:

  • Fry 1/2 cup of poppy seeds in low flame
  • Now grind them in mixy jar
  • Then add required powdered jaggery into it and grind as an fine paste
  • Now take the dough make small puris using the dough and stuff the fried mix into it and fold to half and press gently the edges of it
  • Make such as 5 and keep aside
FINALLY TAKE IDLY PLATES, GREASE SOME OIL ON IT, PLACE THE PREPARED THREE TYPES OF 15 KUDUMULU IN IT ALONG WITH 5 PLAIN JAMUN SIZE BALLS, AND 5 PLAIN OVAL SHAPES OF FINGER SIZE SHAPES MADE OF DOUGH AND BOIL IT WITHOUT WHISTLE IN COOKER FOR 7-9 MINUTES (OR) CAN BE DEEP FRIED IN OIL


BALLS AND OVAL SHAPES PREPARED USING PLAIN DOUGH ARE CALLED AS VUNDRALLU


NOW PLACE THEM IN FROUNT OF LORD GANESHA AS NYVEDHAM AND START POOJA FOR GOD (WORSHIPING GOD)
