INGREDIENTS: Potatoes , Salt, Green chillies, Curry leaves, Jeera (cumin seeds), Oil, Sugar, Roasted
peanuts, Coriander, Garlic cloves (optional)





PREPARATIONS:

  • Place frying pan or kadai on flame

  • Heat 2-3 tbl spns of oil

  • Add 1 full tbl spn of cumin, 3-4 crushed garlic cloves, curry leaves and fry for a while

  • Add slit green chillies and fry

  • Add cut potato cubes, salt and cook till alu is soft by closing the lid

  • In middle sprinkle little water to the kadai , to avoid burning of alu

  • Add 1 tbl spn of sugar, 3 tbl spns of peanut powder and mix well

  • Dish out and garnish with coriander

  • Serves good with rice, chapathis...

  • Can be taken in pasting days when cooked without garlic

  • Puneri alu is ready to serve hot
