INGREDIENTS: Oil, Avalu (mustard seeds), Jeera (cumin seeds), Urad dal (vudhipappu), Chenna dal (senagapappu), Curry leaves, Coriander, Beerakaya (ridge guard), Green chillies, Salt, Turmeric, Pappulapodi (gun powder / legumes powder), Onions

PREPARATION:

  • Peel of the ridge guard skin and cut them into cubes
  • Place kadai on flame, heat 2 spoons of oil
  • Add avalu, jeera, urad dal, chenna dal and fry
  • Add curry leaves, chopped onions, cut green chilly and shallow fry
  • Add cut beerakaya pieces, salt, turmeric and saute well
  • Close the lid and cook in medium flame till soft
  • Finally add pappula podi / legumes powder / gun powder and mix well
  • Garnish with coriander and serve
  • Tastes good with rice , chapathis..
