INGREDIENTS: Oil, Avalu (mustard seeds), Jeera (cumin seeds), Turmeric, Curry leaves, Tamarind pulp, Salt, Drum sticks (munnakaya), Rasam powder, Hing (inguva), Coriander
PREPARATION:
- Place a bowl on flame
- Heat 2-3 spoons of oil
- Add avalu, jeera, curry leaves and wait till they fry
- Add Water, turmeric, salt, rasam powder, tamarind pulp, cut drum stick pieces and simmer it for 15 - 20 minutes
- If not till you can small the flavour of drum stick coming out
- At last add pinch of hing, coriander and dish out
- Goes well with rice...
- This can also be pressure cooked for 1 whistle, but there are chances of breaking in drum sticks
