INGREDIENTS: Chenna (chikpea / brown senagalu), Oil, Salt, Green chillies, Bottle guard (sorakaya), Onion, Jeera (cumin), Turmeric powder, Curry leaves, Coriander, Avalu (mustard)



PREPARATION:

  • Cut bottle guard into cubes

  • Soak chenna in water for 8 hours or over night

  • Place cooker on flame

  • Add cut sorakaya pieces, chenna and boil for 3 whistles

  • Open the lid , drain out water completely

  • Place frying pan on flame

  • Heat 2 spoons of oil

  • Add avalu,  jeera, curry leaves, Chopped onions, cut green chillies and saute for a while

  • Add pinch of turmeric, salt , dhaniya powder, boiled chenna and sorakaya

  • Fry till dry or little gravy like

  • Dish out and garnish with coriander

  • Chenna sorakaya is ready to serve now

  • Serve hot with rice, chapathis ...
