INGREDIENTS: Oil, Jeera(cumin seeds), Toordal, Salt, Red chilliy powder, Sambar powder, Dhaniya powder, Onions, Tomatoes, Carrot, Mottikaya, Garlics, Coconut, Poppy seeds (gasagasalu), Coriander, Turmeric, Tamarind pulp





PREPARATION:

  • Boil toor dal and hand blend it softly

  • In a mixy jar add coconut, garlic cloves, poppy seeds, red chillies and grind into fine paste

  • Place cooker on flame, heat 2-3 spoons of oil

  • Add jeera, cut onions and fry for a while

  • Now add cut mottikaya, pinch of turmeric, salt and mix well

  • Then add tomatoes and saute it

  • Add spoon of sambar powder, red chilly powder, dhaniya powder, grinded mixy paste and mix well

  • Then add tamarind pulp, hand blended toor dal and mix well

  • Add required amount of water and close the cooker lid for 2 whistles

  • Off flame, let it cool, open the lid, dish out

  • Garnish with coriander and serve

  • Tastes good with rice, chapathis...
