INGREDIENTS: Oil, Avalu (mustard seeds), Jeera (cumin seeds), Urad dal (vudhiballu / vudhipappu), Chenna dal (bengal gram / senagapappu), Curry leaves, Coriander, Onions, Green chillies, Salt, Turmeric, Fresh Alasandhalu (black eyed peas)

PREPARATION:
  • Take fresh alasandhalu and clean well with water
  • If you dn't get fresh alasandhalu, make it using the one available in market
  • Soak them in water for 1 night , boil them in pressure cooker and drain water completely
  • Place frying pan on flame, heat 2 spoons of oil
  • Add avalu, jeera, urad dal, chenna dal and fry well
  • Add curry leaves, cut green chillies, chopped onions and fry till transparent
  • Add alasandhalu, salt, turmeric and mix well
  • Close the lid for 5 minutes and cook in medium flame
  • Add chopped coriander, mix well, off flame
  • Dishout and serve
  • Tastes good as an snack 
  • Healthy for all ages and groups
  • For kids you can add less chilly or just add chat masala to plain boiled black eyed peas and serve
