PREPARATION:
- Take an pressure cooker
- Heat 2-3 spoons of oil
- Add avalu, jeera, urad dal, curry leaves, coriander & wait till splitter
- Now add cut onions, green chillies
- Then add turmeric powder, salt, cut tomato and saute it
- Finally add cleaned moong dal, water (1glass dal requires 1 & 1/2 glass water)
- Now close the cooker lid and wait for 2 whistles
- Once pressure goes off from the cooker, open lid drain of excess water slowly if any
- Take it into serving bowl
- Garnsh with coriander
- Serves good with rice, chapathis, pindippi puris...
INGREDIENTS: Green gram dal (pesara pappu), Onions, Green chilly, Salt, Tomatoes, Oil, Tamarind paste, Turmeric powder, Curry leaves, Coriander, Mustard seeds(avalu), Jeera
PREPARATION:
- Take cooker, add cleaned up grren gram dal, cutted green chilly, onions, turmeric powder and keep whistle, wait for 3 whistles, cool, add salt, tamarind paste and hand blend it
- Now keep kadai, pour 3-4 spoons of oil, add avalu, jeera, curry leaves, fry well, then add chopped tomatoes, fry until tomato cooks
- Now add the hand blended dal in to the kadai, boil for a while
- Garnish with coriander
- Serve for rotis, chapathis, rice, pindippi puri etc..
