INGREDIENTS: Oil, Avalu (mustard seeds), Jeera (cumin seeds), Urad dal (vudhipappu), Curry leaves, Coriander, Green chillies, Turmeric powder (pasupu), Salt, Onions, Tomatoes, Moong dal (pesarapappu),


PREPARATION:
  • Take an pressure cooker
  • Heat 2-3 spoons of oil
  • Add avalu, jeera, urad dal, curry leaves, coriander & wait till splitter
  • Now add cut onions, green chillies
  • Then add turmeric powder, salt, cut tomato and saute it
  • Finally add cleaned moong dal, water (1glass dal requires 1 & 1/2 glass water)
  • Now close the cooker lid and wait for 2 whistles
  • Once pressure goes off from the cooker, open lid drain of excess water slowly if any
  • Take it into serving bowl
  • Garnsh with coriander
  • Serves good with rice, chapathis, pindippi puris...

INGREDIENTS: Green gram dal (pesara pappu), Onions, Green chilly, Salt, Tomatoes, Oil, Tamarind paste, Turmeric powder, Curry leaves, Coriander, Mustard seeds(avalu), Jeera


PREPARATION:
  • Take cooker, add cleaned up grren gram dal, cutted green chilly, onions, turmeric powder and keep whistle, wait for 3 whistles, cool, add salt, tamarind paste and hand blend it
  • Now keep kadai, pour 3-4 spoons of oil, add avalu, jeera, curry leaves, fry well, then add chopped tomatoes, fry until tomato cooks
  • Now add the hand blended dal in to the kadai, boil for a while
  • Garnish with coriander
  • Serve for rotis, chapathis, rice, pindippi puri etc..
