INGREDIENTS: Oil, Avalu (mustard seeds), Jeera (cumin seeds), Urad dal (vudhipappu)Bengal gram (senagaballu), Curry leaves, Coriander, Green chillies, Turmeric powder (pasupu), Salt, Onions, Semolina (Bombay rava / yupma rava / Bensi rava), Red chilly, Tomato, Water


PREPARATION:
  • Take kadai, heat 5-6 spoons of oil in it
  • Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, urad dal, bengal gram, curry leaves and fry till they splitter
  • Add cut green and red chilly and fry
  • Now add cut onion and shallow fry
  • Then add cut tomato, salt and saute till soft
  • Now add 3 glasses of water (for 1glass of semolina) and close the lid of kadai till water boils
  • Now in low flame, slowly add rava and mix without any lumps and close the lid till cooked
  • Garnish with coriander and fried cashews
  • Serve with any pickle or ground nut chutney
