INGREDIENTS: Beerakaya, Milk, Oil, Avalu (mustard), Jeera (cumin seeds), Red chillies, Salt, Garlic cloves, Pesarapappu (green gram)



PREPARATION:
  • Peel of ridge guard and cut into pieces
  • Place pressure cooker on flame
  • Add cut ridge guard pieces, green gram dal, red chillies, milk, garlic cloves and boil for 2 whistles
  • Off flame and let it cool
  • Now in an kadai, heat 2-3 spoons of oil
  • Add avalu, jeera, and wait till they splitter
  • Then add the cooled dal mix, salt and saute it for a minute or 2
  • Dishout and add coriander for garnishing
  • Serves good with rice, chapathis..
Addition of milk tastes good, if not, can add half water and half milk
