PREPARATION:
- Soak 1 glass of urad dal and idly soji/rava in water for 3 hours
- Later grind it to make batter
- Add 1 glass of ragi flour, salt and mix well
- Let this batter soak for 4-5 hours or 1 night
- Add soda before using the batter
- Now grease oil to idly plates
- Place grated carrot, fresh coconut, chopped green chilly in the plates
- Now pour the prepared idly batter in it
- Steam cook for 10-12 minutes
- Dish out and serve with groundnut / peanut chutney
