INGREDIENTS: Ragi flour, Urad dal (vudhipappu), Idly soji (rava / semolina), Salt, Carrot, Fresh coconut, Green chillies, Cooking soda, Oil

PREPARATION:
  • Soak 1 glass of urad dal and idly soji/rava in water for 3 hours
  • Later grind it to make batter
  • Add 1 glass of ragi flour, salt and mix well
  • Let this batter soak for 4-5 hours or 1 night
  • Add soda before using the batter
  • Now grease oil to idly plates
  • Place grated carrot, fresh coconut, chopped green chilly in the plates
  • Now pour the prepared idly batter in it
  • Steam cook for 10-12 minutes
  • Dish out and serve with groundnut / peanut chutney
