INGREDIENTS: Idly soji (idly rava / uppudu biyyam rava / boiled rice semolina), Salt, Curd, Oil, Jeera powder, Pepper, Rice flakes (atukulu)

PREPARATION:
  • Clean and soak 3 cup of idly soji in curd
  • Add little salt and mix
  • Let it soak for 1 night or7 - 8 hours
  • Now grind 1 cup of rice flakes in mixy jar as fine powder
  • Add this into the idly soji soaked in curd and mix well into batter
  • Take small spatula,
  • Add 5 table spoons of oil and heat
  • Add 1 t spn jeera powder, pepper and mix, off flame
  • Add this into the idly batter mix, mix well
  • Take idly plates, grease oil to it and pour the batter
  • Steam cook for 12 minutes
  • Idlies comes out very soft in texture
  • Serve hot..
  • Tastes good with legumes chutney
