INGREDIENTS: Idly soji (idly rava / uppudu biyyam rava / boiled rice semolina), Salt, Curd, Oil, Jeera powder, Pepper, Rice flakes (atukulu)
PREPARATION:
- Clean and soak 3 cup of idly soji in curd
- Add little salt and mix
- Let it soak for 1 night or7 - 8 hours
- Now grind 1 cup of rice flakes in mixy jar as fine powder
- Add this into the idly soji soaked in curd and mix well into batter
- Take small spatula,
- Add 5 table spoons of oil and heat
- Add 1 t spn jeera powder, pepper and mix, off flame
- Add this into the idly batter mix, mix well
- Take idly plates, grease oil to it and pour the batter
- Steam cook for 12 minutes
- Idlies comes out very soft in texture
- Serve hot..
- Tastes good with legumes chutney
