HERES AN INTERESTING RECEPIE, THAT CAN DONE USING THE PEELED OUT LAYER OF RIDGE  GUARD, ITS VERY DELICIOUES AND HEALTHY TOO...MANY OF US PEEL OFF THE OUTER LAYER OF RIDGE GUARD TO THE MAXIMUN PART AND WASTE IT , RIDGE GUARD SKIN IS RICH IN FIBRE....SIMPLE AND EASY TO PREPARE


INGREDIENTS: Beerakaya (ridge guard), Seasame seeds (nuvvulu), Salt, Green chillies, Tamarind paste


PREPARATION:
  • Clean ridge guard, peel of the outer layer
  • Chop the peeled outer layer of ridge guard into fine pieces
  • Place frying pan on flame
  • Add seasame seeds and fry for a while
  • Add chopped ridge guard skin and cook till soft
  • Off flame, cool it
  • In an mixy jar, add fried ridge guard skin, green chillies, salt, tamarind, seasame seeds and blend into fine paste using little water
  • Dish out into a bowl and serve
  • Tastes good with rice, chapathis..
Addition of chopped raw onions also gives good taste
