PREPARATION:
- Clean raw rice using water
- Pat dry them on soft cloth for a day or two
- This can be stored for many days and are known as mudi biyyam
- Now place, cooker on flame, heat 2 spoons of oil in it
- Now add avalu, jeera, urad dal, bengal gram, red chillies and fry for a while
- Then add 1 glass of rice and 2-3 glasses of water
- Mix well, add required amount of salt
- Close the lid for 3 whistles
- Once the cooker is cooled, open the lid and serve
- Tastes good with any curries, vuppu merapakayalu, pachadis .....
- Garnish with curd chillies or salt chillies (vuppu merapakayalu)
