INGREDIENTS: Tomatoes, Oil, Water, Tamarind paste, Turmeric powder, Avalu (mustard seeds), Jeera(cumin seeds), Curry leaves, Coriander, Asafoetida (inguva), Salt, Rasam powder, Turmeric powder


PREPARATION:
  • Cut tomatoes into cubes
  • Grind half tomatoes in mixy jar as paste (tomato puree) and half kept aside
  • Now take a bowl, keep it on flame, add tomato puree, left out tomato pieces, tamarind paste, little water and mix
  • While boiling add rasam powder, salt, asafoetida, coriander, turmeric powder and stirr well
  • Boil till you observe lot of bubbles and take out from flame
  • Now take a spatula (small frying pan), pour 2-3 spoons of oil into it, add avalu, jeera, curry leaves and fry
  • Add this into the rasam bowl
  • Garnish with coriander and serve hot with rice
